Who doesn’t love Korean barbecue and a sumptuous grill with the best cuts drenched in Korean marinates? Nami Korean Grill House is an authentic Korean BBQ concept by Hanjip Korean Grill House, nestled in the quiet Greenwood estate in Bukit Timah.
Similar to Nami Island, the restaurant is in a quiet and relaxing location away from the busyness of the city.

What’s even better is the “hands-free” service in which professionally trained servers cook the meats to perfection and serve them in neatly sliced pieces. All you need to do is watch them work their magic.
Obviously, we would never want to undercook nor overcook the best cuts served. Hence, Nami’s hands-free grilling experience relieves diners from the pressure of cooking. Daebak!
We loved the Japanese Wagyu Chuck Ribs that simply melted away in the delight of our mouths. Even our youngest diner couldn’t resist asking for more.
Banchan Delights at Nami
All Korean food fans would love banchan and its unlimited top-ups!
At Nami, we had candied lotus root, picked radish and of course cabbage kimchi. The candied lotus root was a hit as it was gone pretty quickly.
If we weren’t too absorbed enjoying the pork and beef, we would have asked for banchan refills.
Hearty Soups & Cooked Sides
Since most of us have had Ginseng Chicken soup and Kimchi Stew, we wanted to taste the difference in Nami’s soups.
The Ginseng Chicken soup was rich and dense with flavour and nourishing goodness. Unlike the more liquid version found in many places, we enjoyed the hearty soup which could do with a stronger ginseng flavour.
Kimchi Jigae is a staple in our household, Nami’s version was a surprisingly sour version and not as spicy. This made it a good complement to the Steamed egg and Seafood pancake.
Trying Korean Seafood at Nami
All of us got to try the famous Korean dish – raw marinated crab! It definitely piqued our curiosity especially because it is such a popular dish in K-drama serials.
Our verdict: It was an interesting dish that could grow on us. The crab had a jelly-like texture and was tender enough to slurp it down paired with rice and kimchi.
One of the signatures – Korean Abalone was served grilled. It was so fresh it was sweet and a pleasure to eat.
Kids Meal & Kids Eat Free Promotions
Kids are not forgotten at Nami Korean Grill House, in fact they have specials during school holidays and can experience the Korean Rice Ball Activity named Jumeokbap. The little chefs get to mix the ingredients and make their own rice balls!
Diners with families can also enjoy the kids eat free promotion from Mondays to Thursdays as well as Sunday lunches. One of the best ways to bond is to eat together.
A Delightful Korean BBQ Experience with Family & Friends
Nami is a wonderful option for a K-BBQ with family and friends. Given how family-friendly and welcoming it is, I’m sure parents will find love Nami hands-free – with a Soju on hand!
