Since it has been a largely #stayhome one in June, parents may be raring to send their children for some hands-on activities this September school holidays 2021. There are plenty of options to choose from – learning about programming, getting introduced to architecture, honing the ability to sing to learning all about nature.

Coding Lab is THE school to choose for coding camps this September. Help hone your child’s computational thinking – it is a powerful skill that will help them thrive in the digital future. There are both in person and online options for you to choose from for 4 to 18 year olds!

For ages 4 to 6, the concept of Binary will be covered using quality Montessori-inspired toys from Learning Beautiful. Pre-schoolers can also join in their exciting first-of-a-kind Science + Tinker Coding Camp as they understand more about Plant Life Cycles, learn to create a Mid-Autumn Festival animation with Scratch Junior and bring home their craft circuit activities.

For 7 to 9 year olds, they will get to create platformer games or tinker with Micro:Bit – a pocket sized computer.

Programmes and activities are available for the tweens and teens. 10 to 12 year olds will be coding their own Apps with App Inventor while 13 to 18 year olds will learn Python. Children will explore design and architectural concepts through various hands-on activities like sketching, model-making, building, upcycling materials then testing. This will encourage them to take a solution-based approach by focusing who they are designing for and responding to the user’s needs and challenges.
