This National Day, the National Heritage Board hopes to unite Singaporeans through arts, culture and heritage with an exciting line-up of digital National Day programmes for people of all ages to celebrate Singapore’s 56th birthday. Be inspired by heritage and culture this National Day with special performances featuring novel renditions of some of our favourite National Day tunes. At Home Truly: Growing Up With Singapore, 1950s to the Present Digital Experience
Follow Nadine and her beloved grandfather as they relive the highs, lows and moments in between of Singapore’s journey from its beginnings as a nation to the island we love today. IHC Celebrates: National Day with Kumar & Khalijah
Catch local comedians Kumar and Siti Khalijah serving up a savoury Indian dish that is well-loved by Singaporeans while having a hearty conversation about what culture and heritage mean to them. This presentation will be screened via the Indian Heritage Centre’s Facebook page on 9 August 2021 at 6 pm.

Singapore River Walk Virtual Guided Tour
Explore the history and key landmarks of Singapore’s famous waterway, the Singapore River. Go on a virtual journey from Collyer Quay to Robertson Quay, to trace the contributions of the river towards Singapore’s mercantile development through the various communities who lived and worked around it, and admire the spectacular architecture and social history of its bridges. National Day Monumental Hunt
Our first National Day Parade in 1966 was hosted at The Padang! In this fun mini-game, revisit this iconic spot and hunt for various items at a National Day Parade set in the Padang with its surrounding monuments, and stand to win attractive prizes! This hunt will be screened via the Roots website on 9 August 2021 at 12 pm.
ACM Celebrates: National Day
Celebrate Singapore’s 56th birthday with the Asian Civilisations Museum through a host of adventures! Participants can discover objects in an online trail that tell stories of Singapore’s history and listen to a medley of well-loved National Day tunes. They can also be inspired by the lush greenery around ACM and try their hand at making some kaya! This celebration will be screened via ACM’s Facebook page and website on 9 August 2021 at 10 am.
