From April 18 to May 5 2014, hunt through the nooks and crannies of the Sentosa HarbourFront precinct for 100 giant eggs. Kicking off Easter 2014, The Sentosa HarbourFront Business Association (SHBA) launched its inaugural Easter event at Emerald Pavilion on Sentosa’s Siloso Beach with Minister for Social and Family Development, Mr Chan Chun Sing, gracing the launch ceremony as Guest-of-Honour.
The event, called “The Great Egg-Venture”, features a giant egg hunt involving 100 unique and hand-painted giant eggs, and many other exciting Easter-themed activities from April 18 – May 11 2014. No ordinary eggs in a basket, each egg measures 1.5m x 1m and is made out of fibre glass, before being given creative interpretations by local artists from various associations, charity groups and schools. The 200 people involved include local graffiti artist syco03, local fashion designer of Rêvasseur, local illustrator WHENIWASFOUR and youths from National Youth Achievement Award Council of Singapore (NYAA), Noise Singapore, LASALLE College of the Arts and other beneficiaries.
“The Great Egg-Venture” spans 520 hectares, from Mount Faber to the HarbourFront area and onto Sentosa Island, making this event the biggest Easter Fiesta to be held in Singapore. Bringing the local community together through arts, it is an egg-travaganza with different giant Easter egg designs.
