The Japanese Calligraphy Art Academy’s Calligraphy Exhibition in Singapore opened on 20 October 2017.
Hosted by Nihon Shodo Bijutsuin (Japan Calligraphy Art Academy) and co-organised by Sunstar and Japan Creative Centre (Embassy of Japan), and supported by The Mainichi Shimbun / Manichi Shodo Kai, the exhibition showcases 60 calligraphy masterpieces by members of the Academy.
Attendees at the opening ceremony were treated to calligraphy demonstrations by three masters of the art.
More calligraphy performances will be held between 2 pm and 3 pm from 20 to 24 October 2017.
Sunstar will also be co-organising a “Japanese Cultural Workshop Day” on 21 October 2017 at locations such as Our Tampines Hub. Take note that some activities are ticketed and spaces may be limited.
The Japanese Calligraphy Art Academy Exhibition is being held at The Luxe Art Museum, beside The Cathay. Admission is free.
