Heed the call of the wild at three roaring events taking placing during the June 2019 school holidays in Singapore at the attractions – the Circle of Life Festival at Singapore Zoo and Night Safari, Ocean Fest 2019: The Noisy Ocean at S.E.A. Aquarium and DinoQuest at Science Centre Singapore.
The Circle of Life Festival – Singapore Zoo and Night Safari
Get to meet the live animals that found in Disney’s The Lion King at Singapore Zoo during the June school holidays 2019 – from majestic lions to mandrills to meerkats. Go on a quest in the Zoolympix: Circle of Life edition, enjoy storytelling performances (11 am and 4 pm) and make your own DIY spin drums or animal face mask. Hop on board the thematic moving tram with musical performances at the Wild Africa zone.
There will be photo points that let you recreate iconic scenes from the Lion King. If you have ever wished to have hordes of people bowing to you while you stand tall at Pride Rock, this is your opportunity.
When the sun goes down, jive over to the Night Safari and move to the thumping beat of the Thumbuakar performers and their spinning fire torches at 7.45 pm. Put on glowing face paint to illuminate your way into the wilds of the Mandai forest.

The Circle of Life Festival at Singapore Zoo and Night Safari takes place from 1 June to 12 August, on weekends and public holidays.
Ocean Fest 2019: The Noisy Ocean at S.E.A. Aquarium
S.E.A. Aquarium’s Ocean Fest 2019: The Noisy Ocean lifts the veil on the cacophony that takes place underwater. Discover the world of sound that lies beneath the waves through interactive installations and performances.
Mimic the sound of clown fish and other marine creatures at interactive stations or direct the action on screen at a Sound Reactive TV area. To experience the effects of noise pollution, enter a Sound Box Blasting installation and find out what feels like to be a marine animal affected by underwater blasting and drilling.
A highlight of Ocean Fest 2019: The Noisy Ocean is the Celebration of Sound, a percussion and musical performance which takes place on weekends and Public Holidays at the Open Ocean Habitat at 12 pm and 2 pm.
There will also be daily meet and greet sessions with S.E.A. Aquarium’s mascots at 12.30 pm and 3 pm.
Tickets to S.E.A. Aquarium are priced at $36 with online discounts for Singapore residents.
DinoQuest at Science Centre Singapore
Play the role of a palaeontologist at Science Centre Singapore’s DinoQuest, a homegrown exhibition based on dinosaurs that once lived in the polar regions of the world.
Go on a mission to discover your own dinosaur and learn the secrets of dinosaurs. The adventure starts off at an explorer’s tent. From there, venture on to learn about the different prehistoric animals, the reason for their extinction and how fossils are formed. There is a mock-up of dig site, based on Dinosaur Cove near Melbourne, and a palaeontologist’s lab.
In the final section of DinoQuest, visitors can bring their own dinosaur to life in digital form.
DinoQuest at Science Centre runs from 1 June to 31 August 2019 at Science Centre Singapore. Admission costs are $18 per adult, $15 per child or $52 for a family.
