Bounded by Bishan Street 22 and Bishan Street 23, Bishan Active Park is a large park and field opposite Catholic High School that is designed to be able to host and accommodate large scale events. It also welcomes residents in the area to get active and take advantage of the wide open expanse of the park.
Bishan Active Park playground
One of the features at the park is the Bishan Active Park playground. Found at the southern end of the park, the Bishan Active Park playground is a low, steel framed structure for kids to play and enjoy themselves.
A see-saw inspired set of stepping stones, with hand rails on either side, lead in towards the centre of the playground from one side. There are other spring loaded platforms which kids can also step over to get in to the heart of the playground.

A spiraling cargo net also acts as another play element at the Bishan Active Park playground.
At the centre of the playground, there is a series of suspended hoops which kids can crawl through, testing their flexibility and bravado.
To further engage the senses, there are also sound pipes that kids can holler into.
Next to the Bishan Active Park playground, there is a weathered Illusionary Disc Exhibit. Dating back to May 2009, this is part of Science in the Heartlands, an edutainment project by Science Centre Singapore.
By spinning the wheel, Moire Patterns form as the disc spins around.
Booking Bishan Active Park Facilities
Aside from the children’s playground, other facilities at Bishan Active Park include two fitness corners, a basketball court and a soccer field.
A unique feature is Bishan Active Park’s beach volleyball court while a jogging track runs around the perimeter of the Bishan park. There is also a covered central area.
Facilities at Bishan Active Park are available for booking at the Bishan North Community Centre at Block 233 Bishan Street 22, #01-126, Singapore 570233. There are charges for booking of the Bishan Active facilities, which are available on a first come first served basis. Passion Card members enjoy special booking rates.
There some other smaller parks nearby too – Bishan Heights Park and Bishan North Neighbourhood Park.
