A media release on 11 February 2020 explained, “some of the artworks and complementary activities lined up for the upcoming Festival will require visitors to come into close contact with the artworks or other individuals.”
It also shared that the current 2019 novel coronavirus situation had also caused delays to the fabrication of the artworks.
According to the media release, “In this regard, postponing the Festival to a later date will allow visitors to have a more optimal experience with the artworks and programme line-up.”
