From 16 Jan to 9 Feb 2020, a mini Ningxia Night Market has popped up in Singapore at Sentosa’s Siloso Point. For those who wish to experience a slice of Taiwan, plus some yummy food, it is the perfect excuse for an evening out.

1. Opening Times & Dates to Avoid
The Taiwan Food Festival featuring Ningxia Night Market opens from 5 pm to 10.30 pm. This makes sense as it is too hot in the day time anyway. Admission to the Taiwan Food Festival is free but island admission charges apply.

2. Food at the Ningxia Night Market Singapore
The stalls at the Ningxia Night Market in Singapore are spread over two zones – one at the beach and the other near the Siloso Skywalk. You can look forward to savouring dishes from more than 30 food vendors at the Ningxia Night Market at Sentosa. The vendors have been flown in directly from the popular night market in Taiwan to deliver the taste of Taiwan locally.
Some of the dishes to look out for include Egg-bombed Scallion Pancake, Taro Balls with Salted Egg Yolk, Taiwanese Oyster Omelette, Deep-fried Smell Tofu, Grilled King Oyster Mushroom, Fried Chicken Cutlet and Crispy Salted Chicken and Tian Bu La (Taiwanese oden).
3. Performances
Beside the food for the tummy, you can also expect food for the soul in the form of musical Mandopop performances if you visit on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, plus Monday, 27 Jan. Performances take place from either 6 pm or 7 pm onwards and will run up till 9.45 pm.
Some of the local artistes who will be making an appearance include Wang Weiliang, Bunz, Ruth Kueo, Tay Kexin and Cold Cut Duo.
Besides performance, there are also entertainments such as claw machines to bring home some souvenirs.
4. Getting to Ningxia Night Market
The Taiwan Food Festival takes place at Siloso Point, at the other end of Siloso Beach from the Monorail Beach Station. Besides walking, to get to Siloso Point from the Beach Station, you can take Bus A. Those driving can also park their cars at the Beach Car Park and take Bus A.
