GoCycling has opened up a new branch in the West of Singapore, providing bike rentals for Jurong Lake Gardens and opening up possible cycling routes around the island.
Getting to GoCycling @ Jurong Lake Garden
Bike rental kiosks in the West (unlike in the East) are rare. Hence, this new bike rental service in Jurong is very welcomed.
Called GoCycling @ Jurong Lake Garden, it is located amongst the HDB shops diagonally opposite from Chinese Garden MRT Station.
The shop’s full address is Block 323 Jurong East Street 31, #01-119, Singapore 600353. It is the corner shop unit, right beside the traffic junction where Jurong East Street 31 and Boon Lay Way meet.

Jurong Lake Gardens Bike Rental
As the bike rental shop is located at the edge of Jurong Lake Gardens, after renting the bike, you will need to wheel or cycle across Boon Lay Way (use the traffic lights) and you start to pedal your way to Jurong Lake Gardens.
Rental rates for a mountain bike or city bike are $8 per hour for the first hour. Rent before 5 pm on weekdays and get the second hour free. On weekends, rent two hours and get the third hour free. Take note that this is not applicable on Public Holidays. In addition, terms and conditions apply.
The Jurong Lake Gardens bike rental service also offers overnight rentals, full day rentals and kids bikes.
Exploring Jurong Lake Gardens
Renting a bike is a great way to explore Jurong Lake Gardens. You can cycle to at sights at the northern end of the Gardens like Clusia Cove, PAssion WaVe and Forest Ramble.
After that, it is an easy pedal to reach the Grassland at the southern half of the gardens. Jurong Lake Gardens’ Neram Streams and the Southern Promenade also become much more accessible on bicycle.
Cycling Routes Around the Island
For the more adventurous, it is also possible to get the bike rental from Jurong Lake Gardens and take the Park Connector Network to reach destinations further afield around Singapore.
Staying in the west of Singapore, cycle along the Western Adventure Loop to reach West Coast Park.
For a good challenge, attempt the Coast-to-Coast Trail. This trail opened in 2019 and stretches from Jurong Lake Gardens to Coney Island Park in the northeastern coast of the island.
For an even more EPIC ride, do the Coast-to-Coast Trail AND carry on cycling from Punggol to East Coast Park!
As GoCycling has multiple outlets across the island, you can rent a bike from Jurong Lake Gardens and return it at any other outlet (including its Punggol Jetty outlet if you are doing the Coast-to-Coast trail). Just be sure to let them know beforehand so that you can place a cash deposit (instead of card deposit) that can be refunded at the other end.
GoCycling @ Jurong Lake Gardens is open from 10 am to 8 pm, Monday to Friday, and 9.30 am to 8.30 am on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.
