Pesta Ubin 2020 is back with a new spin. The annual festival, which celebrates all-things Pulau Ubin, is going virtual with online activities to remember the rustic island off the northeastern coast of Singapore.
Being held from 12 to 26 September, Pesta Ubin 2020’s theme is “Remembering Pulau Ubin” and draws attention to the island which once had a population of over 3,000 villagers, of which less than 50 remain.
This year’s events include virtual tours, talks by nature groups and painting sessions. Here’s some of Pesta Ubin 2020’s programme highlights.
