Inspired by local flavours such as chendol, kaya, curry, hae-bee hiam and muah chee, BreadTalk is releasing a National Day line of yummy cakes, scrumptious buns and delightful pastries. The ‘National Day’ collection will be available for the whole of August.
Items In BreadTalk’s National Day Line
One of the key desserts is Chendol Go-Go, an elaborate creation of pandan chiffon cake, luscious gula melaka mousse, sweetened red beans, glazed chendol attap seeds and a gula melaka jelly. The various layers take over two days to conjure in a temperature-controlled setting. This delightful celebratory treat is sold in a takeaway container as a cheeky nod to Singapore’s ‘da- bao’ culture.
Other delicious buns include the Kaya Marble which is a pillow-soft sweet pandan bun and Peanut QQ, an interpretation of Singapore’s well-loved snack Muah Chee. The Peanut QQ dessert bun is filled with a combination of chewy mochi, crunchy peanut butter and fragrant roasted grated peanuts.
To satisfy savoury cravings, the Happy Hae-Bee croissant with cheese sauce and aromatic Hae-Bee Hiam and Curry Naan are two yummy types of bread that one can enjoy!
