Before there was CapitaSpring and the Sky Gardens at Dawson, there was the Pinnacle at Duxton rooftop Skybridge.

When it first opened, it was one of the few places where you could get some amazing views of the city, and the worry was that the crowds would disturb the residents that a entry-fee system was instituted.

On 15 July 2022, the Pinnacle at Duxton Skybridge reopened to the public after being closed during the pandemic.

The Pinnacle Skybridge on level 50 extends from blocks 1A to 1G, connecting up the various towers.

What most may not know is that it is divided into various sections, each with a slightly different theme.

Hillock

Fiesta is just a small open area beside the 1G where you emerge up to the Skybridge. Hillock is a little more interesting. As the name implies, it is a little mound that you can climb up on. There are a couple of large stone seats around the little hillock.

Lounge at Pinnacle at Duxton Rooftop

Lounge is a seating area where people can sit in clusters to enjoy each other’s company.

Beach

At first glance, it looks like there’s a little wading pool at Beach. However, it is just a blue padded area in front of deck chair-style seating. You can sit there an imagine you are truly at the beach.

Rocky: Pinnacle at Duxton Rooftop Playground, and Cottage

Rocky: Pinnacle at Duxton Rooftop Playground

Rocky is named after the boulder-shaped blocks that make up the Pinnacle at Duxton rooftop playground. From what we know, this is Singapore’s highest playground.

Kids can climb up to get a better vantage point of the view.

Cottage

The last themed area is known as Cottage. It is a little sheltered area with seats for people to have huddled conversations.

Pinnacle Skybridge

At both ends of the Pinnacle Skybridge are lookout galleries. The one at 1G looks towards southwards while the gallery at 1A looks west and must have an amazing view of the sunset.

How to Visit the Pinnacle at Duxton Rooftop Skybridge

Pinnacle @ Duxton

To visit the Pinnacle rooftop, you still need to pay an admission fee of $6. On the plus side, this fee means that the 50th level Skybridge is quite uncrowded.

How to Visit the Pinnacle at Duxton Rooftop Skybridge

Head over to Block 1G, Level 1 and locate the Managing Agent’s office; it is just in front of the lift lobby. You will need to pay the $6 admission charge and present a CEPAS card such as an EZ-link card.

They will then encode the EZ-link card to allow for entry within an hour after registration. Take note that payment is not done using the EZ-link card. The card only functions as an “admission ticket”.

Entry to Pinnacle at Duxton Rooftop

Take the lift up to the 50th floor and then tap the card at the turnstile to enter the Skybridge area.

To exit, use the same card to exit from the turnstiles at any of the blocks.
