Relive your childhood at BeLONG’s Art Playground, the colourful playspace inspired by Singapore’s dragon playgrounds of yesteryear at the rooftop of the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre.

BeLONG’s Art Playground is a special installation for the upcoming Year of the Dragon. It invites both kids and parents to have some carefree fun together while also discovering the many “dragons” around Singapore.

The dragon-themed playground has been inspired by Singapore’s local HDB playgrounds, more specifically the orange mosaic dragon playground found in Toa Payoh.

Begin at the tail of the dragon and make your way along its body where different play elements await.

Slide

Climb up to a low platform and slide down to get started.

Then make your way across a set of colourful tyres. Are these the scales of the dragon?

A see-saw is next. Parent and child (or even adult and adult) can imagine they are riding the dragon as its body makes its way up and down.

Swings

Then it is off to a set of swings if you need a break before tackling set of monkey bars is the next challenge. Sway forwards and onwards towards the front of the dragon.

Then it is finally up to the top of the dragon’s head.

Pearl Merry-go-round

From this look out point, a giant pearl merry-go-round gleams in the distance. You can hop on and ride as it as your reward!

We liked how BeLONG’s Art Playground incorporates various playground elements and equipment into the dragon, providing different ways for kids and families, and even adults, a way to have fun.

Photo Spots for the Year of the Dragon

BeLONG’s Art Playground is also a cute photo spot. All around are cut outs of the zodiac animals – and since it is the Year of the Dragon – all dressed up in dragon costumes.

We also thought it was especially cute how the monkey cut out was placed next to the monkey bars.

There are more photo spots at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre rooftop for Chinese New Year 2024.

Mahjong Room

Step into a mahjong room and you may just get some good luck rub off on you.
