The Active Garden at Gardens by the Bay is designed to bring people from all walks of life together with communal spaces, a musical playground for kids and cafe for a spot of relaxation too.
Located next to the waterfront closer towards Marina Bay Sands and Bayfront Avenue, the Active Garden is an open area that invites people to exercise and enjoy the outdoors.

Easter Egg Hunts: Fun For Kids & Families
PropNex Family Zone is a Families for Life-themed playground, featuring Becky Bunny, the Families for Life bunny mascot. This spot is where for kids and parents can come together to spend time together enjoying different play activities. One of the most prominent features at the Families for Life playground is the pair of tall wood-clad structures. These look like a pair of mini supertrees and they are certainly befitting of being part of a Gardens by the Bay playground. Find out more about the PropNex Family Zone.
Musical Playground
Families and kids will find themselves gravitating towards the Musical Playground.
Here, there are various percussion instruments that kids can hammer and play a tune on.
The instruments are grouped together. This allows both parents and children to make music together.
However, on our last visit to the Musical Playground at the Active Garden, we found that a number of the musical instruments were under maintenance. We hope that they get some tender loving care soon so that families and friends can make music together again.
Outdoor Fitness Area
Just beside the Musical Playground, there is an Outdoor Fitness Gym. This is where fitness enthusiasts can make use of the equipment to reach their fitness goats.
Amongst the gym equipment that can be found at the Active Garden’s Outdoor Fitness Area include knee-lift high bar, flat bench, body-curl bench and spring-up board.
Cafe at Active Garden: Starbucks
For those in need of some refreshment, there is a Starbucks at Active Garden. Pop inside to grab a beverage.
There are both outdoor and indoor seating areas.
Waterfront Plaza
The Waterfront Plaza at the Gardens by the Bay Active Garden is a sheltered but open air venue. The Waterfront Plaza also overlooks a pond which provides a calming atmosphere.
There are also activity rooms and multi-purpose spaces within the Waterfront Plaza that often hosts events and activities such as workshops and seminars.
There are also restrooms located within the Waterfront Plaza structure.
Community Garden
Another feature at the Active Garden at Gardens by the Bay is the Community Garden. It is where you can find approximately 50 kids of edibles, including herbs, vegetables and fruit trees, being planted.
The Community Garden plots are cared for by volunteers.
Moongate
Also close by to the Active Garden is a Moongate sculpture which serves as a wonderful frame for a family portrait. The Moongate Lawn is a green space for recreation and activities.
Sensory Trail
Just a short distance away from Active Garden is a Sensory Trail with a variety of plants which engage the senses of sight, smell, touch and even sound!
Shuttle Service Pick Up Point
There is also a Shuttle Service pick up and drop off point at the Active Garden.
Get Together at the Active Garden, Gardens by the Bay
The Active Garden is slightly away from the rest of the attractions at Gardens by the Bay. However, it is a great spot for community events and other activities.
