Singapore EXPO Hall 2 has been transformed into a floral garden for the 14th Asia Pacific Orchid Conference, taking place from 16 to 20 August 2023. You will be enchanted by the variety of orchid species flown in from across the region.
This is the first time that Singapore is hosting this conference and it is organised by the National Parks Board (NParks) and the Orchid Society of South East Asia (OSSEA).
Everyone can look forward to an exciting programme over the five days at this ticketed event – no “green thumb” required.

Colourful Orchid-themed Exhibits
With thousands of orchids brought in from across the region, get ready to feast your eyes and sense of smell at the orchid show.
On display are orchids ranging from our national flower Papilionanthe Miss Joaquim (commonly referred to as Vanda Miss Joaquim) to a black orchid from the Paphiopedilum species and hybrids. You get to admire these colourful exhibits.
Intrigued by blue orchids? They are not just found in Korean dramas. In reality, there have a hint of purple and they are specially flown in for APOC 2023.
If you get a chance, stop and smell some of the orchids. (Hint: There is one that smells like coffee at the MarketPlace by Cocoa Orchid Farm).

Remember our one-dollar notes? Have you seen five-dollar notes with yellow orchids?
There is a special display of our rich orchid heritage on coins, notes, photos and postcards at one of the galleries. It will surely evoke your childhood memories of collecting stamps and keeping precious notes.

Flowers and Fashion come to Life
Apart from orchid exhibits, fashion has also come into floral life.
Second-year Nitec Floristry students from ITE College Central have created embellished designs involving fresh orchids for this event.
Start your own Orchid Garden
Entry to the APOC MarketPlace is free. You can shop for orchids and gardening products from over 50 local and international retailers there. Do remember to bring cash, in case some of the retailers do not accept card payments.
No “Green Thumb” – No problem
You can create your own floral tea at Tea Bar by Pétale Tea. They are one of the retailers at MarketPlace. You can mix up different flavours and seal them with inspirational stickers.
If you get the chance, you can watch the tea infused flowers bloom in a teapot.
You could be an orchid lover, enthusiastic gardener or looking for a little day out with the family. There is something for everyone at APOC 2023!
