The yellow and orange playground consists of three “hives”, each a little higher than the next, interconnected by a set of netted tunnel bridges.
Access to the network of hives is via vertical rope ladder tunnels that lead up to two of the towers. Kids can then make their way from hive to hive along the bridge.
At the tallest, a spider’s web worth of cargo nets allows kids to climb upwards from multiple directions. All this climbing and scrambling about is great for kids to practise their gross motor skills.
The hive in the middle has a brown and yellow covered tube slide. A slight kink in the tube slide provides a measure of variation for kids who are making their way back down from the elevated bee hives.
The bee motif carries over on to the flooring with a hexagonal honeycomb pattern covering the floor.
There is also a small toddler play area for younger kids beside the bee hive playground.
The bee hive playground can be found on the roof top of the multistorey car park at Block 210.
Swings at Clementi NorthArc
On the other side of Block 210a, there is a little alcove with swings tucked away amidst the greenery, closer towards Clementi Avenue 6.
There are four-seater swings that are modelled to look like the typical garden swings.
Another swing set is a basket swing where kids can pile inside and enjoy being rocked back and forth.
Another type of swings that can be found at this section of the playground is a rope standing swing. Consisting of a thick rope suspended between two supports, kids and even adults can stand on the rope and sway it back and forth.
