One of the largest in Zurich, this Christmas market has plenty to offer in terms of food, local crafts, Christmas décor and even photo opportunities. Situated right in front of the iconic Opera House, there are around 100 stalls forming a Christmas village ideal to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy some gluhwein (mulled wine).
Best Christmas Lights: Illuminarium at Swiss National Museum, Landesmuseum Zürich courtyard
The courtyard of Swiss National Museum lights up for Illuminarium for Christmas. Decked in traditional luminous sculptures, the museum which is located right next to the main train station welcomes all to its food stalls, light tent, cocktail bars, fondue palace and a ticketed light show.
