i Light Singapore is back for its 10th edition from 31 May to 23 June. This year’s festival lights up more than just Marina Bay, it will also be activated in Tanjong Pagar for the very first time. Centering around sustainability, i Light Singapore’s theme this year is Cyclical Nature and the festival will feature a lineup of 17 interactive artworks exploring the restoration, repurposing and re-designing of everyday objects by 25 different local and international artists.

Antoine de Saint Exupery: When a Prince takes Flight Exhibition at Alliance Francaise
The only exhibition to showcase original artefacts loaned by the Saint Exupéry Foundation is here, it celebrates the author behind the beloved classic, “The Little Prince”. Running from 3 May to 31 July 2024, this exhibition pays tribute to Antoine de Saint Exupéry on the 80th anniversary of his disappearance. It is the only exhibition in the world to showcase a rare collection of exclusive artefacts, including first drafts of manuscripts, handwritten letters, original drawings and personal belongings, on loan from the Saint Exupéry Foundation. This exhibition is open to general public and free for all, including guided tours.

Frida Kahlo Forever Season at ArtScience Museum
Mexican artist Frida Kahlo (1907-1954) is best known for her vibrant works of art. However, behind the brightly coloured art works is a story of facing down gender stereotypes, perseverance and even contradictions. Her works capture her personal experiences and reflect on her passions, struggles and beliefs.
Discover the life and work of extraordinary Mexican artist and cultural icon, Frida Kahlo, at ArtScience Museum. The Frida Forever season is made up of two exhibitions – Frida Kahlo: The Life of an Icon and Laid Bare: Frida’s Inner World, and a VR experience.
Frida Kahlo: The Life of an Icon is an immersive biographical exhibition that celebrates Frida’s life story through interactive installations, digital technologies, and 360-degree projections. Laid Bare: Frida’s Inner World is a smaller, companion exhibition to Frida Kahlo: The Life of an Icon. It takes a more intimate look at the artist, revealing the way that Frida’s medical conditions shaped who she was.

Small MUJI Exhibition
Take a step back and enjoy the beauty of everyday items at the Small MUJI Exhibition, now on at MUJI Plaza Singapura till 25 June 2024. The exhibition presents 16 original miniature works, alongside new pieces tailored to Singapore. These miniature works have all be created using MUJI products by artist and photographer Tatsuya Tanaka.

M.A.P at The ArtGround
From 21 April 2024 to 30 March 2025, M.A.P. at The Artground brings the imaginative world of future transport possibilities to life. M.A.P. was conceptualised by students from Pathlight School in partnership with The Artground.
Start your adventure at the Bendy Bus, where large blue foam awaits. Kids can have fun transforming the foam pieces into larger-than-life vehicles and transportation systems. Next, hop onto the Roller Coaster MRT, a futuristic marvel inspired by student designs. It comes complete with interactive videos showcasing the future of transportation and promoting social etiquette. Step into the Flying Bus, a cosy corner filled with cushions, where you can relax while learning fun facts about local transportation systems from Pathlight School students.

Little SIFA: Puppet Show, Animation Workshop & Whimsical Fairground
Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) has launched Little SIFA with three charming programmes just for families to kick off the June school holidays.
Leonardo! A Wonderful Show About A Terrible Monster (24 to 26 May) by Manual Cinema is a whimsical puppet show about a not-so-terrifying monster and his quest to be scary. It uses hundreds of illustrated paper puppets, book pages, two-dimensional props, furry monster puppets and songs to bring Mo Willems’ books to life. The Binder Animation Workshop with Manual Cinema! (26 May) unveils the secrets on how to create a short puppet animation with participants creating their own live music videos using school binders and paper puppets.
Head to The Dancer’s Fair at Cathay Green for an enchanting experience with a five-metre-tall ballerina that will be engaging with the audience. Enjoy the delights of old-school fairground attractions like a whimsical Ferris Wheel specially designed for children and the “Little Carousel” where parents and children will need to use their ingenuity to make it move.
