Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park Water Playground
Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park Water Playground is unique as far as water playgrounds go. While most water playgrounds feature jets of water, splashing buckets and slippery slides, Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park Water Playground is designed with a different purpose in mind.
The playground consists of channels of flowing water. This springs from a source at the top of the gentle slope the playground is built on and flows downwards by gravity.
A series of metal sluice gates allows kids to “direct” and “control” the never-ending flow of water, allowing them to learn by observation about gravity and the motion of water.
Specially shaped channels let kids observe how water behaves as it encounters obstacles.
At one of the channels, they can even move around the barriers to create their own water eddies.
Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park’s Water Playground also has a little structure with little sprouts of water for kids to play with. Blue, yellow and green mounds dot the water playground’s landscape. These foam mounds contrast with the rocky boulders scattered around the play area.
The Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Water Playground is suitable for kids in need a break from the madcap rush found at regular water playgrounds. It is located at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park’s Pond Gardens.
Take note that the water at the playground is only turned on from Thursdays to Sundays at 8 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 8 pm.
There are toilets close by for changing.

Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Adventure Playground
The Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Adventure Playground lives up to its name as it is built for kids to create their own adventures in.
A wooden fort can be found at one end of the playground. Fitted with bubble windows for little adventurers keep a look out from the inside, the fort also has slides leading down to the ground from its second level.
Behind the fort is a four-tier concrete play structure. Get to the top using wooden ramps equipped with climbing ropes and make a quick escape through the metal tube slides built into the play structure.

Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park Inclusive Playground
Over the River Plains half of Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park is its third playground, the Inclusive Playground.
This sand-based playground has been fitted with equipment that lets children of all abilities play side-by-side. These include swings and a merry-go-round that accommodates wheelchairs.
Other play equipment include climbing nets, slides and more.
A unique piece of equipment here is a metallic digger that kids can operate using two levers.
Bonus: Hidden Former Swing
Recycled Hill is a mound built from the concrete slabs from the former canal that ran through Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park. At the top of the hill is a sculpture, An Enclosure for a Swing.
As the name suggests, inside this gleaming metal sculpture is a swing – or at least used to be a swing. The swing has been decommissioned but its seat can still be found there. You can still step inside the sculpture and imagine what it would have been like swaying back and forth while overlooking the pretty landscape of Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park.
