There are various paths to choose from.
Wandering around the footpaths, kids will come across various informative signboards about the lifecycle of a butterfly.
What makes it even more immersive is that the plants and flowers at the Butterfly Maze also attract the real-life flying insects. It is a memorable way to encounter them.
What also makes this maze interesting and different from other mazes in Singapore is that it is not simply laid out on flat ground. Instead, there are undulating mounds with log steps that can be climbed.
Play and Learn
There are also slides built into the maze. This makes it almost feel like a real-life version of snake and ladders. These slides include a set of blue twin slides.
There is a fun, wavy purple one too.
We thought these seats looked quite unique too.
Speaking of seats, if these animal seats look familiar, that’s because they are from the old Chinese Gardens.
At the centre of the maze, there is also a little rest spot where kids (or more likely parents) can take a break from the learning.
Nearby, there is a play tee-pee too.
And a “tribal circle” for kids and parents to hang out together.
The Butterfly Maze at Jurong Lake Gardens is a fun little play spot for young ones to be immersed in nature and where they can learn about one of nature’s wonders too.
The maze is one-half of Jurong Lake Gardens’ Therapeutic Gardens. The other half is the Children’s Discovery Area. Be sure to visit that too.
