Did you know that Singapore has four buildings that are tied for second-tallest building in Singapore? Among them is CapitaSpring, the new development along Market Street, where you had pay a visit to its Sky Garden at Level 51 and the Green Oasis on Levels 17 to 20.
CapitaSpring occupies the spot where the old Golden Shoe Car Park used to be located. In place of the car park is a 51-storey development which scrapes the sky at 280-metre-tall, the same height as neighbouring building likes One Raffles Place and UOB Plaza One.
The special thing about CapitaSpring is it has areas which the public can visit to enjoy the views, including from the very top of the building.

If arriving via MRT, exit Raffles Place MRT station via Exit A and turn left upon reaching ground level. Head down Malacca Street and straight ahead is CapitaSpring and the pair of lifts which heads up to the Green Oasis and Sky Garden.
The facade of the lifts at the ground level features floral digital art. It is hard to miss.
Inside, the lifts only serve Levels 17 to 20 where the Green Oasis is and Level 51 which is the rooftop and Sky Garden.
Green Oasis (Levels 17 to 20)
The Green Oasis is an outdoor garden in the middle of the CapitaSpring building. Visitors can follow a path which makes its way around the building, connecting four levels from Level 17 to 20 together.
Level 17 is also where the cafe Sol & Luna is located.
As you walk up from Level 17 (or down from Level 20), there are various look out points and corners offering different mid-level views from the building.
Seating areas invite people to sit and there are even power sockets to charge up devices.
Some of the spaces around the Green Oasis include a yoga area, green cushioned seats, a Jungle Gym exercise corner and an amphitheatre.
CapitaSpring Sky Garden
When you are ready, you can take the lift up to the CapitaSpring Sky Garden on Level 51.
Stepping out from the lift, to the left is Kaarla and Oumi, Australian and modern Japanese restaurants respectively.
However, if you are just intending to visit the Sky Garden, step out on to the rooftop and spectacular views. From CapitaSpring’s Sky Garden, you can look down onto the rest of Singapore, including Marina Bay Sands.
Walk along the path that passes by planters as you make your way to the upper deck of the rooftop. The planters have herbs growing in them, making this Singapore’s highest urban farm.
What is really spectacular are the views from CapitaSpring Sky Garden and it is worth paying a visit.
