Changi Airport Chinese New Year Hello Kitty & Friends Photo Spots
In 2024, Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters landed at Changi Airport for the year end season.
Now, in 2025, the cute characters have switched over to a spring theme, providing cute photo spots for visitors to Changi Airport and travellers to take snaps.
The main photo spot in front of the Departure Gates at Terminal 3 now features the 8-metre-tall Hello Kitty surrounded by a burst of pink cherry blossoms as well as other festive Chinese New Year items such as mandarin oranges and gold ingots.
Elsewhere around Changi Airport’s other terminals, you will also be able to find other Sanrio characters all ready for Chinese New Year.
These photo spots and decorations are part of “Usher in Prosperity with Hello Kitty and Friends” at Changi Airport, which is taking place from 10 January to 12 February 2025.
Usher in Prosperity with Hello Kitty and Friends: Redeem Hello Kitty & Friends Red Packets and Purchase Mandarin Orange Bags
From now till 12 February 2025, you can redeem exclusive festive Hello Kitty and Friends merchandise with $80 min. spend.
You can redeem one set of Hello Kitty & Friends Red Packets and/or purchase a Hello Kitty or Kuromi Mandarin Orange Bag at $8.80 when you spend a minimum of $80 ($100 for Supermarket) in a single receipt in the public areas of Changi Airport Terminals 1 to 4 (excluding Jewel Changi Airport and iShopChangi).
There are more than 100 stores participating in this promotion.
Take note that purchases must be made at participating outlets at Changi Airport’s public areas in Terminal 1 to 4 only. Transactions made at transit area, Jewel Changi Airport and iShopChangi are excluded.
The red packets can be redeemed at the vending machines located next to Terminal 3 B2 Customer Service Counter or Terminal 4 L2, near Check-in Row 7.
For shoppers with more than 30 red packets, the collection point will be at the Terminal 3 B2 Customer Service Counter.

What Else is on at Changi Airport for Chinese New Year
While you are at Changi Airport, you can also pay a visit to the Carnival with Hello Kitty & Friends at the Terminal 3 Arrival Hall, near McDonalds. The Carnival is on till 16 February 2025.
Jewel Changi Airport is also decked out for Chinese New Year with a collaboration with POP MART. You can check out the various installations and there is even a special mahjong set available!
