Spalliera

What to Expect at Christmas Wonderland 2023

Christmas Wonderland would not be the same without an intricately-designed Spalliera. This year, the 20-metre-tall Spalliera light display is inspired by the pointed arches in Italian Gothic architecture and handmade by artisans from the south of Italy.

Blizzard Time

Garden Rhapsody & Blizzard Time

Blizzard time at Christmas Wonderland is a crowd favourite. This year, the surreal landscape of ‘snowfall’ at Gardens by the Bay’s Supertrees will take place daily accompanied by a brand-new specially commissioned soundtrack by Singaporean composer-conductor Dr. Darius Lim. His composition, entitled Magic of Christmas, will enhance the ethereal snowy atmosphere of Blizzard Time.

Light Displays including Santa on the Supertrees

There will be plenty of photo opportunities all around the Supertree Grove with four times more light displays. These include a giant Ice Skate, Ornament Balls, and Gift Boxes.

One of the light displays at Christmas Wonderland that you can’t miss is the five-metre-tall light display of Santa Claus climbing up one of the supertrees as he prepares to deliver his presents.

Over at the Lawn, a larger-than-life light display of an adorable trio of Merry Bears – with the biggest at nearly six metres tall – will put a smile on everyone’s faces. Visitors can also wander through an enchanted forest at Bluebell Lane.

More captivating light displays can be found at Merry Lane presented by Trip.com, with installations such as the colourful 50-metre-long Walk of Lights tunnel. Another highlight is Odette’s Dance, an ode to one of the world’s most iconic ballets, Swan Lake. The mixed media installation combines light displays of swans with captivating multimedia content.

Christmas Wonderland is a wonderfully festive fair to visit in December with family and friends.

To enjoy the experience, one tip we have is to go prepared to enjoy the atmosphere with the music in the air and beautiful lights. Don’t expect to power through the attractions. Instead, take the time to stop, linger and savour the spirit of the holiday season.

We would also recommend coinciding your visit with Garden Rhapsody and Blizzard Time. It is a magical part of the experience.

You should be prepared to spend on some food, rides or games when visiting Christmas Wonderland. Take it as part of the experience and a time to have a treasured experience with friends and family.

You are encouraged to purchase tickets online prior to arrival. The ticketing booths at the event grounds operate from 6.30 pm to 10 pm.

Parking is also limited at Gardens by the Bay. Therefore, you may wish to take public transport to Christmas Wonderland.

Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay is from 29 November 2024 to 1 January 2025.
