A new nature-inspired playground has opened at Crest Sports Park along Hougang Avenue 6, close to Block 525, and next to Punggol Community Club.

The Crest Sports Park playground, which features a treehouse structure with various play elements was donated by playground provider Retro-Max to the Aljunied-Hougang Town Council.

There are also various learning panels installed in the tree house. There is a spinning panel along with a gear panel to encourage kids to engage in sensory play.

From the tree house, a green open slide provides a fun way back down.

Adding to the nature theme of the playground is an Oak Leaf Wobble Pod where one or two kids can have a wiggly, bouncy experience.

There are also a mushroom and acorn seat that adds to the nature design.

The nature-inspired playground at Hougang Avenue 6 is worth approximately $70,000 and was donated by Retro-Max to the community as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts.

Its official opening was held on 30 December with Mr. Gerald Giam, MP for Aljunied GRC Bedok Reservoir-Punggol Division and Vice-Chairman of Aljunied-Hougang Town Council in attendance.

Retro-Max Directors are residents of the neighbourhood and have two young grandkids.

Knowing the value of having an engaging play space for both adults and their kids, they wanted to refresh the playground equipment (which was also previously designed by Retro-Max) that has been there for over ten years.

With new nature-inspired playground, Retro-Max is excited for the residents to benefit from this nature-play experience, and now also for the Directors’ grandkids.

You can visit the new nature-inspired playground along Hougang Avenue 6, close to Block 525.
