Dec Fun: Get the Best Ideas for the School Holidays

-- Story continues below --

Dig Dig Land is open on Saturdays, Sundays and certain Public Holidays from 9 am. Once you arrive at Jurong Play Grounds, kid-friendly Dig Dig Land is easy to spot as it is bright yellow and located next to the car park.

There are multiple zones where kids can immerse themselves into the world of builders through fun play activities.

Excavator Zone

Excavator Zone

The Excavator Zone will certainly get kids excited. After all, they will get a can to operate an actual (but a smaller sized version) excavator. There are a total of three mini excavators at Dig Dig Land. Taking control of the mini excavator using a joystick, they will get to dig and move sand about, learning how to operate it like a pro.

Do take note that there is an allocated 10 minutes of playtime per session on the excavators. If a child wishes to play longer, he or she will have to requeue for another turn in order to allow others to have a chance to enjoy play time.

Skyline Crane Zone

The mini excavators are not the only piece of machinery that kids can learn to operate at Dig Dig Land. There are also two mini cranes that kids can learn to operate and control. Just like the full sized cranes can be used to lift objects up, the mini cranes at the Skyline Crane Zone can be used to lift and stack different objects.

Stacking Bricks at Dig Dig Land

In this case, the mini cranes can be used to lift up miniature bricks. As a test of skill and precision, kids stack up the bricks.

There is also a “watermelon” that they can to pick up with the crane. It is like a real life, bigger version of playing the claw machine games!

Do take note that there is an allocated 10 minutes of playtime per session on the mini cranes. If a child wishes to play longer, he or she will have to requeue for another turn in order to allow others to have a chance to enjoy play time.

Sand Adventures Zone

For some creative fun, there is a sand play area where even young children can enjoy playing with mini excavators, construction tools and toy. It is a place where kids can use their imagination to create their own sand adventures while at Dig Dig Land.

RC Zone

Can’t get enough of operating machines? How about taking control of one of the remote controlled construction vehicles at the RC Zone at Dig Dig Land?

Do take note that there is an allocated 10 minutes of playtime per session at the Remote Controlled Zone. If a child wishes to play longer, he or she will have to requeue for another turn in order to allow others to have a chance to enjoy play time.

Builder’s Workshed Zone

Kids can make use of kid-friendly construction tool to role play as builders at the Builder’s Workshed Zone. They can engage in hands-on play with mini fixing projects and explore making use of the various tools.

Vehicle Play Zone

There are also ride-on construction toys that kids can use to scoot around the Vehicle Play Zone while at Dig Dig Land.

Shop

Shop

For kids who are inspired by their time playing with the construction equipment at Dig Dig Land at Jurong Play Grounds, there is a shop that sells construction-related toys. Pick up a toy and continue the construction themed fun at home!

Kid Fishing Zone

Kid Fishing Zone

Not specifically related to construction but good to know is that there is also a Kid Fishing Zone. This is where they can cast a fishing line into the pond and see what bites. We guess there are some similarities to using a crane!
