Not just for delivering food, Deliveroo is now offering the option for customers to make donations the same way you would place a food order on the platform. Part of its long-term partnership with charity Food From The Heart, Deliveroo is now accepting donations through its app as part of its “No Child Goes Hungry” initiative.
The donations raised through the app will go towards purchasing items such as vouchers and trophies to reward 90 students and their families for their outstanding accomplishments.
Customers can drop off donations of food staples such as cooking oil, rice and canned goods at the Deliveroo Editions site at Alice@Mediapolis. The donations will then be distributed to disadvantaged families under Food From The Heart’s food programme.
Deliveroo’s “No Child Goes Hungry” Collaboration with Food From The Heart
“We are pleased to have Deliveroo as a partner to help rally for donations and are grateful for the total amount of donations generously raised by Deliveroo and its customers in our previous partnerships together. Thank you for supporting us and those in need in the community. With the upcoming ‘I CAN Award’, we are extremely heartened that Deliveroo has stepped forward once again to facilitate getting people to donate to our cause. The food drive and donated funds will make a positive impact on the lives of so many young beneficiaries and their families. We look forward to another meaningful and successful partnership with Deliveroo in our efforts to alleviate child hunger together,” said Sim Bee Hia, CEO of Food from the Heart.

No Child Goes Hungry aims to tackle food insecurity among children with focused initiatives around contributions to philanthropic causes and community service. Deliveroo has had a long-term partnership with Food from the Heart and is part of Deliveroo’s community-focused campaign in Singapore.
Previous community-focused partnerships include with WeCare@MarineParade, where Deliveroo riders delivered over 1,000 iftar meals to vulnerable Muslim families during Ramadan, TOUCH Community Services, where Deliveroo gathered customers, restaurants and riders to get behind the Meals-On-Wheels initiative, and social enterprise Glyph, which saw Deliveroo hosting quarterly Food & Cultural Exchanges and offering discounted Glyph membership fees for riders’ children.
Deliveroo and its customers have also previously raised over $60,000 for Food from the Heart. Those funds have gone towards benefiting 1,500 low-income school age children and their families under FFTH’s School Goodie Bag programme.
