Dumpling Festival, Dragon Boat Festival 2020

Some call it Dumpling Festival, others know it as Dragon Boat Festival. Known as Duan1 Wu3 Jie2, this Chinese festival takes place during the summer solstice. To add off evil spirits, Chinese ate rice dumplings (bak zhang) and kept fit by participating in dragon boat races.

In Singapore, we celebrate this festival this year on 25 June 2020 in various ways. Even if you don’t know how to make your own rice dumpling, you can still get some bak zhang and join in the fun!
