Passengers at Changi Airport can now take a walk in an ‘Enchanted Garden’ found within the Departure Transit Mall at Terminal 2.
Unveiled on 15 July 2013, the new themed garden – the fifth within Changi Airport – has at its centerpiece four giant glass bouquet sculptures filled with more than 300 freshly-cut flowers and soft ferns. These glass bouquets are decorated with over 56,000 colourful, hand-cut stained glass tiles that present a shimmering hue around the glass sculptures.
In a first for Changi Airport, the Enchanted Garden will come alive with sounds of nature, recorded from the rainforests of Borneo, and sparkling lights underfoot as visitors weave through the garden’s paths, creating a magical atmosphere within the themed garden.
Archerfish and koi can be found within the 22,000-litre Enchanted Garden’s pond and there will be opportunities for passengers to feed them as well. More than 1,000 plants representing 50 different species, such as the Bird’s Nest Fern and Tasmanian Tree Fern, make the garden a lush and relaxing space within the busyness of the transit area.

Mr Yeo Kia Thye, Senior Vice President, Airport Operations, Changi Airport Group (CAG), said, “The Enchanted Garden is the first interactive-immersive garden among Changi Airport’s stable of gardens, where passengers stroll through a tranquil and soothing sanctuary, complete with the sights and sounds of a magical forest.”
The Enchanted Garden is located at the North Wing of Terminal 2’s Departure Transit Mall.
