A colourful fruit truck playground has sprung up at Tengah at the Plantation Crescent Park, along with a bevy of fruits like a pineapple, watermelon and bananas. The fruit truck playground pays tribute to the plantation past of Tengah.
Fruit Truck Playground at Tengah
One of the most striking features of the playground is red coloured truck.
Sporting a license plate that reads “YB 131A”, this is a clue to its location. It is in the park just a stone’s throw away from Plantation Grange, Block 131A.
The old style looking truck has a ramp at the rear that kids can use to enter into the cab area. A set of dual steering wheels (we’re not sure how that works) allow kids to pretend to steer the vehicle.
This play structure is based on a fruit truck, used in the past for transporting sweet and delicious produce out of plantations.
Bananas, Watermelons and Pineapple Playground
Kids can play amidst humongous versions of tropical fruits at the playground.
There is a supersized pineapple playground at this Tengah park.
Kids can climb inside and bounce up and down on the netted platform.
Another play structure is made up of a pair of bananas and a slide of watermelon. The watermelon’s pips act as climbing holds for kids to scale up inside.
We know banana peels can be slippery; so maybe that’s why the two bananas act as slides for kids to slip down.
Also part of the fruit playground at Tengah is an orange merry-go-round. Just like you would juice an orange, you can also give this merry-go-round a spin too!
A little teeter-totter provides more fun for young kids.
Juice Up the Fun at the Tengah Fruit Truck Playground
The Fruit Truck Playground and assortment of fruits at the Tengah park offers plenty of fun for young children, giving them ways to imagine and play pretend while still paying homage to the past.
You can find the Tengah Fruit Truck playground at the park between Blocks 131A and 111A, and close to Plantation Crescent.
