A unique night spot where visitors can catch animals at their nocturnal best. At the Night Safari, hop aboard the tram or explore one of the walking trails that crisscross the park. A tad bit pricey and touristy but something the kids still love. There is a new Pangolin trail to check out and you definitely should book tickets for Creatures of the Night show in advance.
The Observatory, Science Centre Singapore (Friday Nights)
The Observatory at Science Centre Singapore is one of the few located next to the Equator. This allows the observation of stars in both the northern and southern celestial hemispheres through its 40-cm Cassegrain reflector telescope. Every 1st, 2nd and 4th Friday of the month, between 7.30 pm to 10 pm, visitors can peer through the Observatory’s 5.5 metre, stainless steel dome into the heavens. Depending on the time of year, you may be able to spot planets such as Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and Mars through the telescope.

Omni-Theatre (Friday Night)
Can’t enough of the stars at the Observatory? Head next door to the Omni-Theatre where a Digital Planetarium live show, What’s Up There, takes place at 7.30 pm on Friday nights. Get your tickets.
Late Nights at Singapore Art Museum (Friday Nights)
Head to SAM at Tanjong Pagar Distripark on selected Friday evenings. Head to Singapore Art Museum for special evening of Starry SAM Late Nights with Science Centre Singapore! Enjoy stargazing and explore various planets in the solar system with a portable planetarium.
Garden Rhapsody Light Show, Gardens by the Bay
At 7.45 pm and 8.45 pm daily, Gardens by the Bay’s Supertree Grove takes centre stage in a sound and light show, Garden Rhapsody. Keep a look out for special editions of the show during festive periods such as Chinese New Year and Christmas.
Cooled Conservatories, Gardens by the Bay
A visit to Gardens by the Bay’s Flower and Cloud Forest Dome in the evening reveals a different side of the glass domes. Crowds are thinner (or even non-existent) and decorative lights cast a magical atmosphere with the Flower and Cloud Forest Domes.
Spectra, Marina Bay Sands
Take an evening stroll along the waters of Marina Bay and stop by the Event Plaza to watch Spectra, a free light and water show. The 15-minute waterside entertainment takes place in the evening, at 8 pm and 9 pm from Sundays to Thursdays, and an additional 10 pm show on Fridays and Saturdays.
Sampan Ride, Marina Bay Sands
Yes, it pretty much just involves floating up and down a shopping centre in a boat, but kids still love the Sampan Ride at B2, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. Children between two and eight need to be accompanied by adults and sadly, children under two years and infants in arms are not permitted. The last Sampan Ride departs at 8.15 pm.
Digital Light Canvas, Marina Bay Sands
Created in collaboration with teamLab, Digital Light Canvas at Marina Bay Sands is a physical space where kids and adults can envelop themselves in an immersive playland surrounded by digital images. There are two new experiences to look forward to: Graffiti Nature and Sketch Factory. Do note this is a ticketed experience.
Slide @ T3, Changi Airport
After a saunter around the airport, take a slippery slide down Singapore’s tallest slide from Level 1, Arrival Hall at Changi Airport’s Terminal 3. The slide stays open till 10.30 pm daily and entry can be redeemed with a minimum spend. There is also a shorter slide found at Basement 2.
Cable Car Ride
Experience the night from above with a cable car ride. Soar from Mount Faber to Sentosa in a cabin and with the new Sky Orb cabin, you can even choose a fancier ride. Cable cars run all the way till 10 pm daily (last boarding at 9.30 pm). Free admission for children below 3 years old.
Skyline Luge Sentosa
Some of the most “wheely” fun at night can be found at Skyline Luge Sentosa. Zoom down Mount Imbiah in the cool of the evening on what is pretty much a tray with handle bars. With Ride the Beat, riders will be able to go on a musical joyride as they zip down dazzling neon-lined tracks to the rhythm of popular music and beats every Friday and Saturday from 7 pm to 10 pm.
Go Cycling
Want to get out and get some fresh air on a bike? Bicycle rental operator GoCycling provides bike rental up till 9 pm or 10 pm depending on location. They have 12 locations around the island. Find out where to rent bicycles from Go Cycling.
Singapore Flyer
Take the Singapore Flyer for epic views of Singapore, the night scene promises spectacular city lights. The Singapore Flyer has its last departure at 10 pm. Why not take the kids on a ride one evening?
HyperDrive at The Palawan Sentosa
Those who relish the fast lane might want to go for an evening drive at HyperDrive. There is also a Game of Karts option for those who love a gamefied option. The last entry is at 8.30 pm, so there is some time after an early dinner to race around the circuit.
KF1 Carting Circuit, 1 Turf Club Ave
Families will definitely be drawn to Singapore’s largest go-kart circuit in Kranji.With F1-inspired lighting system, KF1 Carting Circuit has facilities for corporate, parties, events, and major international races. Karters have to be above 140 cm for this circuit. KF1 Carting Circuit closes at 9pm.
Gaming at Arcades
Games are a popular way to unwind after a long school and work week. How about hanging out at the arcade for an evening of fun? Some might prefer less stimulation, but competing on game machines, bumper cars and arcade machines might be one fun way to bond as a family.
ORTO Prawning
One screen-free option that is fun and can be done late at night is prawning! If you are prawning at ORTO, you can even get the prawns cooked at 88 Seafood so that you can feast on your catch of live prawns.
SuperPark
SuperPark Suntec City has more than 20 sports-centric activities as well as new activities and sections to look forward to. Plus you can get the adrenaline rush and all the energy expended before bedtime beckons. SuperPark closes at 9pm!
Adventure HQ @ Khatib
Another fun spot to head to for an evening of fun is Adventure HQ @ Khatib. It closes at 9.30 pm from Wednesdays to Sundays, and the last entry is 9 pm. Wow is usually the first response as you enter the compound with the four storey high obstacles. The facility is also sheltered, perfect for an indoor work-out rain or shine. There are eight main sections to conquer at Adventure HQ.

Singapore River Cruise
Singapore River Cruise is a a 40-minute journey that commences at Clarke Quay jetty. The cruise will pass Boat Quay, Clifford Pier, Marina Bay Sands, Esplanade, Asian Civilisations Museum, Raffles landing point, Parliament House and back to Clarke Quay. It is an easy way of learning more about Singapore’s history and soaking in the city sights. The good news is rides operate till 10 pm when bridges are lit and the lights of the city are at its brightest.
Trifecta
Learn to skate, snowboard and surf at Trifecta, Orchard till late in the evening. Whether you are getting ready for a snowboarding holiday, surfing getaway or just keen to pick up a skill, Trifecta might be the place to hang out! It closes at 11 pm daily.
Airzone (Reopening November 2024 onwards)
Airzone Singapore is the country’s first-ever air-suspended net playground is now at City Square Mall! With three levels of elevated fun, up in the air, it is a unique and thrilling experience for all ages! It is set to reopen in November 2024 and we can’t wait to see new features in store. Airzone Singapore closes at 9.40 pm during peak days.
Jewel Rain Vortex & Canopy Park
Canopy Park at Jewel brings a world of play and fun attractions for all ages at the top of the Changi Airport complex. With whimsical gardens, amazing views and one-of-a-kind play attractions such as slides, nets and mazes, Canopy Park is a must-visit spot at Jewel Changi Airport. We reckon evenings are a good time to visit since it wouldn’t be as crowded as compared to the day.
In addition, you can catch the Jewel Rain Vortex light and music showcase at 8 pm and 9 pm from Mondays to Thursdays and an additional 10 pm show from Fridays to Sundays.
Wings of Time, Sentosa
Catch this nighttime water and light show with upgraded pyrotechnics using state-of-the-art Sparkular machines! Wings of Time follows the story of two teenagers – Rachel and Felix, who help a bird-like creature, Shahbaz, find its way home. Head to Siloso Beach, Sentosa for this ticketed show.
Sensoryscape, Sentosa
Sentosa Sensoryscape is a new experiential attraction that blends nature, design and technology and turns into the ImagiNite experience when the sun goes down. Interactive digital light art projection mappings and augmented reality experiences are intended to ignite the sixth sense of imagination. The ImagiNite experience features light shows and digital floor projections across Sensoryscape. It provides an additional dimension to the sensory gardens.
Indoor Playgrounds

Night cycling, anyone? How about night cycling while spotting dinosaurs?
Since Jurassic Mile is a fun route that is child-friendly, it is the perfect spot to head to for a ride out at night.
Bouldering & Climbing
Instead of bouncing off walls, get the kids out to climb on walls. Bouldering and rock climbing gyms are often open in the evenings for a fun time scaling surfaces. Do note that the gyms are usually busier in the evenings, hence check the age restrictions at each gym before booking your spot.
Watch a Movie
Another activity for the night is to watch a movie together!
Take a Walk
A long walk after dinner is also one great way to bond with the family. Besides visiting the nearest Park Connector Network, some of our favourite spots for a night walk include Pasir Ris Park, Henderson Waves, Mount Faber Park, Chinese Garden, Japanese Garden and Singapore Botanic Gardens. You might even be able to spot wildlife in the evenings.
SandBox VR
Sandbox VR Singapore offers a team-based VR gaming experience. Players need to strap on VR hardware – in other words, VR goggles, headphones and a large computer backpack – and order to plunge into a virtual reality world of their choosing.
Festivals at Night
One of the best times to head out in the evenings to see the lights are during the night festivals – Light to Night Festival in January, iLight Festival in May and Singapore Night Festival in August.
