The Rhetoric Collective will be holding the following Future Thought Leader Series workshops in November and December 2021.

Industry Changemakers Workshop

Dates (4-day workshop)

Day 1: Diplomacy

Diplomatic Persuasion in the Model United Nations: Through this simulation of the United Nations, learners will take on the role of a participating nation and navigate political relationships with other countries to resolve world issues together while ensuring their own countries needs are represented and protected.

Day 2: Journalism

Truth and Perspectives in Journalism: Learners will take on the role of a journalist where they will be introduced to public relations, the media, and journalism as they tackle uncovering the ‘truth’, analysing different angles to issues, and presenting those ideas in a news article of their own.

Day 3: Law

Speaking with Conviction: The importance of speaking with clarity and conviction perhaps weighs the heaviest in a court of law. Learners will explore the essential ideas of truth and justice and how these values are upheld through structured argumentation where learners will get to forward their ideas and cases with conviction!

Day 4: Entrepreneurship

Grit and Wit in Entrepreneurship: Building an empire begins with taking the right steps. Put yourself in the shoes of an entrepreneur as you pitch your ideas and develop business plans that are feasible and impactful!
