A highlight of this year’s offering by Goodwood Park Hotel is the Oven-Baked Rock Sugar Honey Glazed Turkey with Fragrant Vegetable Rice, Glaze Sauce, and Chilli Sauce.
This mouth-watering turkey is marinated for two days in aromatic spices and slow-cooked in a bath of soy sauce and rock sugar, offers a rich blend of sweetness and umami. It is then finished in the oven with a honey glaze, the turkey is served alongside a fragrant vegetable rice cooked in a rich chicken stock and flavoured with shrimp, ginger, and bok choy. Accompanied by black soy sauce and a zesty ginger chilli sauce, this dish provides a memorable twist on a Christmas classic.

We got to sample this dish and it just might be one of our favourite dishes in the entire buffet! Don’t overlook the accompanying fragrant vegetable rice. It’s often tempting to skip over rice at a buffet, but trust us, this one is absolutely worth saving room for.
For those who appreciate unique culinary creations, the Butter Turkey with Cranberry Cheese Naan is a must-try. This fusion dish combines traditional holiday flavours with an traditional touch, courtesy of the hotel’s resident Indian Chef. Tender turkey breast is marinated in a fragrant blend of spices before being smothered in a butter sauce made from cashews and aromatic herbs. Paired with a cranberry-infused cheese naan, this dish brings a delightful combination of richness, sweetness, and spice to the Christmas buffet.
This was also another extremely flavourful dish and we really enjoyed how tender the turkey was.
Another interesting fusion dish was the Baked Turkey Char Siew Snow Buns which is a crispy bun and instead of the traditional pork char siew, it features turkey as the protein of choice.
Seafood fans can also look forward to a variety of seafood on ice from prawns, to mussels and even Alaskan crab legs!
No festive feast would be complete without something for dessert, and Goodwood Park Hotel certainly did not forget to include an impressive selection of sweet treats on their Christmas buffet menu.
New this year is the Winter Raspberry Bliss Log Cake, featuring a delicate almond sponge cake with a sherry-infused grape filling and raspberry purée. The cake is topped with a velvety pink cream and encased in a smooth white chocolate glaze.
The Merry Mistle-Crunch, another new addition, blends the bold flavours of matcha and pineapple for a refreshing dessert, while the Nutcracker Chocolate Pistachio Tart provides a rich and nutty finale with its layers of pistachio praline, almond sponge, and chocolate mousse.
Returning favourites, like the Festive Chocolate Log Cake and the indulgent ‘Mao Shan Wang’ Durian Christmas Log Cake, are also available for those who want to enjoy these crowd-pleasers again.
