Anyone who has been searching certain Star Wars-related terms on Google would have been surprised to find Star Wars Confetti raining down on their screens on May the 4th 2021, also known as Star Wars Day.

This is what we discovered as we were making use of the Google search engine.

Normally, Google would mark certain special days with a doodle on its logo. This does not seem to be the case this year.

Certain words appear to trigger off images of R2-D2, C-3PO, ewoks and light sabers coming down on the screen. It is a fun and novel way to celebrate Star Wars Day.

The search terms that we have come across which trigger the Star Wars confetti are:

Star Wars
Star Wars Day
C3PO
R2D2
Ewok or Ewoks
Stormtrooper or Stormtroopers
Lightsaber or LIghtsabers

Terms which don’t work are:

Grogu
Luke Skywalker
Hans Solo
Lando Calrissian
Darth Vader
Obi-wan Kenobi
Yoda
Baby Yoda
Mandalorian

We could have spent much more time trying out other search terms but we had to get back to work.

Try it out for yourself. Let us know if you come across more search terms that trigger off the Star Wars Day confetti on Google by emailing hello@www.littledayout.com

Happy Star Wars Day!
