Kids love animals? The holidays are an awesome time to pay a visit to the Singapore Zoo, Jurong Bird Park and River Safari.
Over the weekends, special programmes, craft activities and talks have been organised to educate and entertain visitors.
Singapore Zoo
The recently crowned animal icon, Ah Meng, takes centrestage at the Singapore Zoo. Transformed into a living classroom, visitors to the zoo can discover and appreciation wildlife through meet and greet sessions with mascots, craft workshops and enrichment trails.
Zoolympix also returns for the 12th year. Kid can go on a quest to save animals around the world through a challenge-based trail.

Jurong Bird Park
Celebrating their 45th anniversary this year, Jurong Bird Park has launched the ‘Home Tweet Home’ project to highlight the importance of conservation of Southeast Asia bird species such as the Bali Mynah and Black-winged Starling.
To mark this, 45 hand-painted nest boxes have been created for their captive breeding programme and visitors to Jurong Bird Park can see these in the month of June.
During the weekends from 4 to 26 June, visitors can also hand-paint their own miniature version of the nest boxes for a small donation to the Wildlife Reserves Singapore Conservation Fund.
Other fun activities taking place include token feeding sessions, hands-on arts and crafts, face painting to mascot meet and greet sessions. There will also be a Birthday Baby Trail to discover the avian chicks of 2016.
