The IMM playground, located at Level 3 of the Jurong Mall at IMM Garden Plaza, is one of rare few playgrounds in Singapore where the playground (or at least part of it) is covered with a tarp for shelter. This makes it ideal for kids and their families to have some fun at the playground, even in the day time.
IMM Playground: Climbing, Bouncing and Spinning Around
The IMM Playground is great for kids to burn off energy while out at the mall. Located at the large IMM Garden Plaza, the playground setting is perfect for kids to get some fresh air while also exploring the playground’s play equipment.
The playground at IMM is made up of two separate areas.
The first section is set out under a large tarp. It features a climbing structure made up of three separate towers, interconnected by rope bridges.
In line with the garden theme of the Garden Plaza, some part of the playground are designed to look like foliage. There is even a climbing ramp that leads up to one of the towers that has been designed to look like foliage.
A green slide provides more fun and activity for kids.
Also located at this section of the IMM playground is a merry-go-round where kids can go for a spin. There are also other teeter-totters where kids can sway back and forth under the shade.
Kids can jump about on a bouncy trampoline.
What we appreciate about this part of the playground is that there is a ledge for parents and caregivers to take a seat while still being close to and watching over their charges.
Obstacle Course Section of the IMM Playground
Just next to the first playground structure is another play area where kids can put their skills to the test on mini obstacles.
Here the green theme continues but with more exciting play equipment that children can conquer.
A series of green “trunks” are “planted” for kids to carefully make their way across while holding on tight to the protruding handholds.
There are also a series of suspended obstacles that kids can climb through in a test of their balance and determination.
Other pieces of play equipment found at this section of the IMM playground include a mini rope bridge. This is suspended at a very low level so it should certainly embolden kids to take it on.
Kids can also have a go on a spinner or catch some air as they kick it back on the bright yellow swing.
The playground equipment at IMM certainly offers kids a chance to have some fun and we most certainly like its outdoor setting.
IMM Garden Plaza
The children’s playground only occupies on part of the expansive IMM Garden Plaza.
In the middle of IMM Garden Plaza, there is a large event area.
At the other side of IMM Garden Plaza from the playground is a garden area that feels like an educational setting for both adults and kids to appreciate nature.
There are numerous fruit trees and plants that have been planted in planters at IMM Garden Plaza.
You can find fruit trees like a durian tree and starfruit tree at this urban garden.
It is a great chance to view some of these plants upclose and also provides a nice distraction for kids, exposing them to nature.
This little garden section makes the IMM Garden Plaza live up to its name.
Visiting IMM Garden Plaza and Its Playground
