There’s only one ice-skating rink left in Singapore to ice-skate – Kallang Ice World at Kallang Leisure Park!
With the closing of JCube’s ice skating rink, we found another place to ice skate at! So, with that we went to Kallang ice skating and it was our first visit to Kallang Ice World.
Kallang Ice Skating: Review of Kallang Ice World
We were greeted by a queue of students at the ticketing counter but found there were two self ticketing kiosks nearby that we could make ticket bookings at, including skates and glove rentals. In fact we were encouraged to make bookings at the kiosk since only visitor tickets could be purchased at the counter.

First Up: Renting Ice-Skates
The girls were terribly excited but we still needed to make sure we collected our skates and gloves. Just a reminder to make sure to hold on to your receipts (don’t lose them!) for entry in, glove collection from the staff at the door and for skate collection once inside.
Once collected we got down quickly to putting them on. We had to help the girls tighten their laces since it was a little hard for them to do it by themselves. Then they were off on their icy adventure.
It was my niece’s first-time ice skating so it was nice she could use the skating walker/trainer for free. You could also rent the seal as an aid too. The rental prices can be found at the end of the article.
My sister-in-law helped us look after our belongings but there were also lockers available for rental to place your valuables. For non-skaters, you can wait at the viewing gallery and watch on.
Next – Skating on Ice
It was generally a bit more crowded with students since we were there on a Monday afternoon at the 4th slot. Hence I felt it could get a little stressful to learn to ice skate with many other people clinging on to the sides.
We were also puzzled to see huge puddles of water on the rink which made it a tad more slippery for beginners too. Do note that beginners can rent a “support seal” for more support, or just rely on the free metal bars (limited in quantity). Children can even sit on the seal while parents and caregivers push them around the rink for a cool ride.
On the whole, tt was a fun experience for us all exploring a different ice skating rink and practising laps around the rink. The rink was generally well-maintained despite the age of Kallang Ice World.
It was nice to know that there were toilets beside the skating rink and even a vending machine.
Kallang Ice World hosts company events and even kids parties. You may call 63481123 for more information.
