There are three rides for fans of the Minions to enjoy – with one of them exclusive to Universal Studios Singapore!
Pose at photo spots with Gru and his adorable, banana-loving henchmen and look for Margo, Edith and Agnes too. Play games at the game booths and just soak in the madness!
Gru’s Neighborhood
First up, get to Gru’s Neighbourhood. It definitely looks whimsical and a fun hangout for fellow minions. Enter from the left of the park after Hollywood Boulevard.
Can you identify Gru’s….errrm… house? This is where you can find the first ride – Minion Mayhem.
Ride 1: Minion Mayhem
Welcome to the home of Gru, Lucy and the girls – Margo, Edith and Agnes. Here you’ll be able to experience Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, an unpredictable ride through Gru’s super villain laboratory. Similar to Universal Studios Japan’s Minion Mayhem, the immersive motion simulation of the Ride Vehicles will allow guests to experience being transformed into a Minion.
Look out for tiny details at the entrance and while in the queue. Do you feel right at home in Gru’s peculiar abode?
Do pay attention to the hilarious pre-ride briefing by Gru and get prepared to be blasted by the Fart Gun. Don’t worry it didn’t stink as badly as we expected.
Then get onto one of the Ride Vehicles, all of which are are designed and manufactured in the US. The adventure on a motion ride gives each guest a slightly different perspective. Minion Mayhem makes use of a huge dome screen to provide an immersive ride experience that concludes with a heart-warming ending.
Height Restriction: Kids below 102 cm can experience the attraction from a stationary seat, kids under 122 cm must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion
Ride 2: Buggie Boogie – World’s First & Only
Boogie to Super Silly Fun Land for two other rides.
Next head to the first-ever Minion dance party-themed carousel! It makes its debut at Universal Studios Singapore. Hop aboard your choice of super silly creatures and boogie to popular dance songs remixed exclusively by the Minions.
Children under 122 cm must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion.
Ride 3: Silly Swirly
Little ones will also love the whimsical ride at Silly Swirly. Take off in uniquely styled ride vehicles and spin and soar through the sky while catching views of Super Silly Fun Land and the lagoon.
Guests under 92 cm may not ride while children between 92 cm and 122 cm must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion.
The ride isn’t very long but it will take you for a spin and allow you to enjoy the breeze as you swirl through the air.
Game Booths at Minion Land
There are two super fun game booths at Minion Land: Ba-na-na Cabana and Space Killer. Try aiming the bananas for the coconut husks to win a prize, and blast your guns to knock off those pesky aliens.
Restaurant: Super Hungry Food Stand
This all-new Minion-themed restaurant unique to Universal Studios Singapore is inspired by Super Silly Fun Land from Despicable Me. There are over 25 new themed elements including seven minions bringing the story to life.
Feast your eyes not just on the brand new menu but the elements like the carnival game – Down-a-Clown, a massive ice-cream launcher mid-launch, a balloon dart game with prizes including Agnes’s prized unicorn Fluffy!
The adorable rice is shaped – like a minion. What else!
Treat yourself to a Super Silly Swirly Slushie, Minion Land Raspberry Ice Cream or cute Minion-inspired popcorn. You can get the popcorn in the cute Minion disguised as a banana container!
Store 1: Sweet Surrender
The Minions are not the only ones with the sweet tooth. This candy-themed store is topped with a giant jawbreaker machine accompanied by the mischievous Minions. Featuring a diverse selection of Minion-themed apparel, this store sells plush toys, homeware, confections, and other fun souvenirs.
Plus the decor is absolutely “eye candy” – and a visual treat that makes you feel the exuberance of Minion Land Singapore.
