We know how few and far between nursing rooms are in the Central Business District. We’ve looked. Therefore, we were delighted to find out that the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has recently completed a new nursing room at the Singapore City Gallery – and have opened it for members of the public to use.
Singapore City Gallery Nursing Room – Open to Public
The Singapore City Gallery nursing room can be found at second floor of The URA Centre, 45 Maxwell Road. For those who are not familiar with the building’s location, is found across the street from the Maxwell Food Market.
This Central Business District nursing room is located near the Gallery Room at level two. You can choose to make your way there using either the glass lift or the escalator from the ground floor.

Facilities available at the Singapore City Gallery nursing room include two lockable nursing rooms with sofas and tables for nursing mothers and babies.
There are also baby diaper changing facilities, hot and cold water dispenser, and sinks with hand soap.
The nursing room facilities will be open from Monday to Saturday, from 9 am to 5 pm. It is closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.
Pop into the Gallery
For those who are curious about the Singapore City Gallery, it is an interesting, free admission space which showcases how a city works and the URA’s long-term plans for Singapore. It also provides an insightful look into Singapore’s built heritage, such as our Peranakan houses.
It is definitely a place that is worth popping into to have a look.
