Kick off the new year in grand style at Let’s Celebrate 2025, organised by Mediacorp in partnership with Singapore Sports Hub, managed by Kallang Alive Sport Management (KASM) on 31 December 2024, from 5 pm onwards, at the Singapore Sports Hub.

The New Year 2025 celebration will feature fun-filled activities for all ages and a dynamic mix of live music performed by homegrown talents.

At midnight, the evening will culminate in a fireworks display this year that will illuminate the sky to usher in 2025!

Partygoers can jump into the celebrations early with fun, family-friendly activities from 5 pm at the Stadium Riverside Walk.

These include UV face painting, glitter tattoos, gem embellishments, and balloon giveaways by sculpture artistes.

The Neon Playground is also not to be missed as LED-lit swings and seesaws transform playtime into a glow-in-the-dark experience as night falls.

Pushing the celebrations up a notch are the colourful street performances and roving entertainment acts from the likes of versatile juggling comedian Mr Bee, local percussion group Bloco Singapura, bubble artist CJ Bubble Girl, fire twirlers and a street magician.

Mediacorp Let’s Celebrate 2025 Countdown Show

Hosted by Mediacorp 987 personality Joakim Gomez and multi-hyphenated artiste Munah Bagharib, the Mediacorp Let’s Celebrate 2025 countdown show will unfold in two segments under the theme “Let The Music Play”.

The event will highlight the best of Singapore’s homegrown artistes, reflecting Mediacorp’s dedication to celebrating the diversity and creativity of local talents.

In the first segment, the stage will light up with electrifying performances from ALYPH, Estelle Fly, Gareth Fernandez, Iman Fandi, Tabitha Nauser, Tasha Low and Tosh Rock.

Crowdgoers can expect a lively showcase of original hits that will keep one grooving all night long!

In the next segment, there will be powerhouse performances from some of Singapore’s most exciting talents.

Taufik Batisah will set the mood with a heartfelt rendition of Benson Boone’s moving ballad “Beautiful Things”, followed by ShiGGa Shay, the city’s hip-hop icon, who will electrify the crowd with his infectious anthem “Have You Ever”.

The energy will continue to soar as Tasha Low returns to bring the K-pop flair with a performance of Dua Lipa’s “Houdini”, blending smooth vocals with hypnotic dance moves that will have everyone on their feet. Plus, rising sensation Regina Song will shine with her viral hit “the cutest pair”, which has taken TikTok by storm, racking up millions of views and Spotify plays.

 

Showcasing the Magic of Collaboration

The show will also highlight the magic of collaboration.

Iman Fandi and ALYPH will join forces for a special medley of their original compositions, while Tabitha Nauser and Gareth Fernandez captivate with their charged duet of Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso”.

In addition, Tosh Rock and Mista B will keep the energy high, getting the crowd moving with Paul Russell’s viral hit “Lil Boo Thang”, smoothly transitioning into an upbeat rendition of “I Don’t Wanna Wait” by David Guetta and OneRepublic.

To top it off, local stars Desmond Ng, Gao Mei Gui, Hyrul Anuar, Izzathy Halil, JJ Neo, Kaushik Iyer, Pavithra Nair and Vishnu Balaji will come together for an enthralling medley, seamlessly blending tracks like “Hot to Go” by Chappell Roan and “APT” by Bruno Mars and Blackpink’s Rose.

The Mediacorp Let’s Celebrate 2025 countdown show will also be available live on mewatch, Mediacorp Entertainment on YouTube and Mediacorp TikTok starting from 10 pm, and on Channel 5 from 11 pm to 12.15 am.

As the night reaches its thrilling climax, partygoers can also look forward to a brilliant 15-minute fireworks display at midnight! The visual spectacle is set to usher in the new year in style.

Look out for the Let’s Celebrate 2025 LED display on the National Stadium roof too! This specially curated display is to be enjoyed in tandem with the fireworks show which comes on at the stroke of midnight.


Tips for Enjoying Let’s Celebrate 2025 at Singapore Sports Hub on New Year’s Eve

Planning on heading down to Let’s Celebrate 2025 at Singapore Sports Hub on New Year’s Eve? Members of the public are strongly encouraged to follow Mediacorp and Sports Hub social media pages for the latest information.

They should familiarise themselves with the event guide, and take note of the following:

1. Travel light and be prepared for rain

Pack only essential items for a hassle-free experience at the Sports Hub. As the weather can be unpredictable, it is advisable to bring along a poncho or you can purchase one from the Kallang Wave Mall Box Office. In the event of inclement conditions, follow the guidance of ground staff.

2. Plan ahead – check crowd levels, take public transport and arrive early

Free activities across the precinct start from 5 pm so arrive early to check them out.

To plan your route and activities, you can refer to the Crowd@Kallang information portal for live updates on the crowd situation at Sports Hub on New Year’s Eve.

The public are strongly encouraged to take public transport to avoid expected congestion on the roads. They can take the MRT to Stadium MRT and nearby stations include Tanjong Rhu, Mountbatten and Kallang MRT stations.

Train and bus services will be extended on New Year’s Eve. For the detailed schedule of these service extensions, please refer to the public transport operators’ respective advisories (Go-Ahead Singapore, SMRT, SBS Transit and Tower Transit).

3. Take note of venue closures and limited access on bridges around Singapore Sports Hub

To ensure the safety and smooth movement of foot traffic in the vicinity, there will be limited access to the Tanjong Rhu Suspension Footbridge and the footways on Merdeka Bridge between 11.30 pm and 12.15 am. Avoid loitering in these areas.

The Tanjong Rhu Lookout Tower will be closed to members of the public. The public should follow the instructions of Singapore Police Force (SPF) officers and security personnel on-site.

In view of Let’s Celebrate 2025, the Visitor Centre and Singapore Sports Museum will be temporarily closed from 26 December to facilitate the smooth operations of the event. Both venues will reopen on 4 January 2025.

4. Keep calm, be kind, and stay safe

With large crowds expected, comprehensive safety and crowd-control measures will be in place at the Sports Hub. Visitors are encouraged to be patient, stay vigilant, look out for one another and cooperate with safety measures and instructions from SPF officers, security officers and ground staff. You play a part in creating a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all.

5. Hydrate throughout the evening

Fuel up and stay hydrated throughout the evening. Food and beverage kiosks will be set up across the Singapore Sports Hub and Kallang Wave Mall tenants will continue sale of food and refreshments beyond the usual mall operating hours. Please find more information here.

6. Leaving the venue

Dispersal will be slow due to large crowds. To facilitate safe and orderly dispersal, signage will be put up to guide members of the public on the exit routes and ground staff will be on-site to assist and direct the crowd.
