The National Library Board was the sole recipient of the President’s Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards 2022 in the “Organisations of Good (Public Institution)” category. The award is presented by the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre, with support from the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, to organisations, groups and individuals who have achieved excellence in giving.
The award recognises the National Library Board’s efforts to provide Singaporeans at all levels with the opportunities to read, learn and improve.
National Library Board’s Community Efforts

WondeREAD, a programme launched in 2018 to promote reading to children between the ages of 7 to 17. National Library Board has worked in partnership with 62 organisations to increase access to books and reading resources for close to 9,000 children.
Early Read, a starter programme for children aged 0 to 6 years old and their parents.
MOLLY, the Mobile Library, which allows books to reach over 100 organisations such as Special Education schools, orphanages and welfare homes where youth may not have ready access to public libraries.
The Little Book Box, a subscription service that delivers curated titles to subscribers homes.
Learning Opportunities for All
Well done and congratulations to National Library Board. We hope that these efforts under the LAB25 (Libraries and Archives Blueprint 2025) help to continue to bring learning opportunities to more people and families in Singapore.
