Get ready for festive fun in Punggol as One Punggol integrated hub celebrates the Chinese New Year 2025 with exciting activities on Saturday, 25 January 2025, from 4 pm to 10 pm.
One Punggol Chinese New Year Celebrations
During the One Punggol Chinese New Year 2025 celebrations, Pasir Ris – Punggol Grassroots Advisers will be joining residents as they enjoy live stage performances, fun-filled interactive games and family-friendly activities to the sounds of drums and flutes!
Those who are attending the celebrations will be able to enjoy vibrant Lion and Dragon Dance featuring the ‘cai qing’ ritual for prosperity and thrilling pole-leaping ‘tiao zhuang’, accompanied by rhythmic beats and the majestic dragon. This symbolises success and unity the festive season.
The One Punggol Chinese New Year festivities will also feature the magic of Chinese Face Changing act – or ‘bian lian’. This is an ancient Sichuan opera art form where performers seamlessly switch between intricate masks in the blink of an eye.
Attendees will also be able to experience the artistry of Chinese acrobatics with gravity-defying stunts and elegant choreography, or be captivated by the melodic music performances from the Singapore Institute of Technology through a blend of Chinese Orchestra and Western Strings instruments.
Family-fun at the One Punggol CNY Celebrations
Bouncy castles are a hallmark of celebrations at One Punggol. Therefore, it is no surprise that young kids will get to enjoy fun-filled Chinese New Year themed bouncy castles at the celebrations.
Other family-friendly activities that will be held during the One Punggol CNY celebrations include calligraphy craftwork and fan painting workshops, and interactive table-top games.
