Flock to the parrot playground at Choa Chu Kang Ave 2 and spot other animals in the neighbourhood. You won’t miss the brightly coloured macaw playground. While compact, there are different elements children can play at.
We reckon this playground is inspired by a macaw, often long-tailed and very colourful. You can see them at Bird Paradise up in Mandai.

The Choa Chu Kang parrot playground is located next to Block 274 and right beside the multi-purpose pavilion.
Entering by the back of the parrot will lead you inside the parrot’s body. One can either climb up through the steps, via holds or a rope ladder.
The three different entrances are perfect for children of mixed ages. Younger ones can make use of the mini rock wall or the rope ladder. Older ones can use the taller steps.
Upon entering the parrot, they can head to the ramp and a rope bridge to the front of the playground where there is a small slide. Right next to the parrot is a sheltered tower that looks right out of a tropical rainforest complete with a thatched roof.
Children can linger in the tower which can be easily reached through a few short steps.
There is also a climbing wall on the side for the younger ones to hone their motor skills.
Little ones even loved hanging out under the parrot, possibly to get some shade from the hot sun or just for some hide and seek time.
Other Play Elements at Parrot Playground
We loved the merry-go-round where children can sit and spin.
There is also a hop-scotch printed on the foam base of the playground. Everyone loves to play hopscotch!
Though compact, there are plenty of play opportunities for varied ages.
