Our Verdict and Experience at Peppermint Restaurant
We had the opportunity to visit and try out the wonderful spread of dishes available at the buffet. While there were so many to enjoy and savour, some of our personal favourites included Auntie Gaik Lean’s Beef Rendang, Peranakan Braised Duck with Coriander and Ayam Buah Keluak, which were all really well marinated and tasted very tender and flavourful.
We also really enjoyed the Rock Lobster with Charred Chili Chuka that was so juicy, as well as the Wok-fried Dry Laksa, which I had to return for second helpings.
We were delighted to find old school snacks available at the desserts section. Amongst them, there are also plenty of Peranakan and local desserts available, such as Sago Gula Melaka, Signature Durian Pengat, Kueh Dadar, Kueh Lapis, Putri Ayu, Bangkit Ubi and many more.
There were also Chendol gelato and Peppermint cucumber sorbet, making us incredibly filled and happy from the hearty meal.
Peppermint Restaurant: A Wonderful Spread for a Wonderful Meal
On top of Peranakan cuisine, Peppermint offers a wide variety of international buffet options, including a generous salad bar, seafood counter, Japanese and Italian cuisine.
For this year, in conjunction with National Day celebrations, there will be Durian available on Friday and Saturday evenings at Peppermint’s Urban Farm.
Free-flow selections of rich and creamy Mao Shan Wang, Red Prawn and D24 varieties from Malaysia will be de-shelled on the spot for diners to enjoy.
