The Plantation Grove playgrounds, one of the many around the Tengah estate, offers a variety of play opportunities for kids of different ages. There is tall climbing structure for the older ones and a lower structure for younger kids.
Like many of the other playgrounds around Tengah such as Plantation Village and Plantation Grange, the Plantation Grove playground has an agricultural theme.
Play at the Plantation Grove Playgrounds
Located at the garden above the car park, the playground consists of two main play areas – one for older kids and another that is more suitable for younger kids.

The most striking play feature at the playground is the tall green climbing structure that looks like it could have come out of the fairytale Jack and the Beanstalk. Here, there are three pods that get progressively higher. Kids can imagine that they are climbing upwards to adventure, just like Jack did in the fairytale.
Enter in through a ramp fitted with handholds to reach the first one before venturing further upwards to the next one.
At the very top of the beanstalk climbing frame, thankfully, there isn’t a giant waiting. Instead, there is a tube slide, one of two at the play structure, for kids to make a quick escape back down.
Other play features around the green climbing frame include a red standing swing. Here, kids can sway back and forth while balancing on top of the thick rope that forms the base.
There are also little pods that kids can squeeze into and hideaway.
Red and yellow seats that looked themed to look like bell peppers provide more seating options.
Plantation Grove Playground for Younger Kids
A stone’s throw away, there is a second play area – this one is more suitable for younger kids.
This orange, dome shaped structure features climbing ropes strung up on the inside. It looks like a pumpkin or perhaps a slightly unripe tomato.
This tomato theming is reinforced by the tomato-shaped teeter-totters where kids can bounce back and forth.
A pair of swings offer a place for kids to kick back and sway back and forth.
There are more bell pepper shaped seats around here too.
More Fun Around Tengah
The Planation Grove playground is a spot where kids can head out and enjoy some fresh air while getting also getting in some exercise.
There are numerous other playgrounds all around the Tengah estate. These range from treehouse-themed play spots to an entire series of insect-themed playgrounds.
