The Plantation Village playgrounds in the Tengah district packs in quite a lot for kids to play, including what looks like a turnip playground at the carpark rooftop and a mini obstacle course too!
Plantation Village Playgrounds
There are four different Plantation Village playgrounds. These cater to different ages, providing various opportunities for play.
Nutmeg Playground at Block 129
One of the most eye catching of the Plantation Village playgrounds can be found on the rooftop of the multi-storey car park at Block 129 Tengah Drive, in front of Block 128A. This is beside Plantation Plaza.

The playground looks like two turnips, complete with green sprouts at the top, but in a bright orangey colour. However, we later found out that they were inspired by nutmegs.
The pods can be accessed using a series of climbing hammocks slung or a climbing net underneath and the pods are interconnected by a netted tunnel.
These can also be reached by a sloped netted bridge at one end.
At the other end is a curved tube slide that takes kids back to the ground.
The linear playground almost gives off magical Studio Ghibli vibes.
Toddler Playground
Just a short distance away, in front of Block 129C, there is a small toddler playground. This is suitable for kids who may not yet be ready to try out the Turnip Playground.
Pepper Playground
Located at the rooftop of the multi-storey car park at Block 123 Tengah Drive, there is a Pepper Playground. This Plantation Village playground may seem small at first but when you look closer, there is a lot going on.
The green children’s playground by Playpoint is hidden amongst the rest of the greenery at rooftop and features a pepperleaf design.
Comprising of a series of green tunnel-like structures, the Plantation Village playground has different obstacles for kids to tackle.
One of the segments of the playground has got yellow stepping stones that kids can practise balancing on. For more balancing challenge, they can try to cross a thick rope bridge.
As they make their way further in, there are hammocks that kids can either sit and swing on, or step to get across.
Another segment of the Plantation Village playground features a larger rubber hammock that swings and sways.
Above this are climbing nets that encourage kids to practise their climbing skills.
Right at the far end of the series of play structures is one of the tiniest netted obstacles that we have come across. Kids will have to get down low to step their way through this low series of ropes.
For more challenge, there are some balancing steps close by as well.
Toddler Playground at Plantation Village
Just around the corner, there is another gated playground in front of Block 126B
This one has a little play house for younger kids. There is also an interior play area where kids can play pretend.
When you are in Tengah, you may also wish to pay a visit to the Fruit Truck playground, the variety of playgrounds at Plantation Acres, or the treehouse playground with three treehouses at the park next to Plantation Crescent.
