Mobile devices get a bad rep. In fact, they are often blamed for families sitting around silently while staring intently into glowing screenings. That’s why, we get excited when we come across an app which actually facilitates interaction – such as Psych!, a mobile game that encourages a few laughs together.
The Psych! game isn’t new. In fact, it has been around since 2015, so we are a bit late in discovering it. But, as they say, better late than never.
Psych! Game – “Creative” Trivia
Psych! is an app available on both iOS and Android. It was introduced by TV star Ellen Degeneres.

In a nutshell, it is a party trivia game with a twist.
There are a set of questions which everyone has to answer. But before guessing the answer to a question, all players need to key in their own “creative” fake, alternative answer. This fake answer is displayed alongside all the other answers and the real answer. The fun is in trying to trick the other players in the group to pick the wrong answer.
There are different categories of trivia – from general knowledge (a bit US-centric) to movies to words.
As an example, in the word category “Word Up!”, you may need to guess the word for the office of an interprerater. All player can concoct their own fake words, and then, everyone will need to guess the actual word.
It isn’t as easy as it sounds as many of the words are very obscure. Plus, you can “Psych!” the other players out.
And the Truth Comes Out
The game mode which is also great fun is And The Truth Comes Out.
In this mode, the game will ask a question about an individual player and everyone will need to provide their plausible answer. Players get to pick their favourite answer. It is a fun way to interact with each other.
So, the next time you have a big group and want to play a party game and have some laughs, give the Psych! game a try.
Psych! is available on iOS and Android.
