The Rainbow of Love Carnival takes place this Saturday, 20 September 2014, at the Rainbow Centre Margaret Drive School.
Organised by a group of 30 individuals, the Carnival will raise funds for Rainbow Centre Singapore with donations being channeled to the Rainbow Centre Building Fund.
With capacity at the Margaret Drive campus maximised, Rainbow Centre Singapore needs to raise $5 million to construct a new facility that includes an Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Young Children (EIPIC) Wing and special education rooms to cater to more families with children of special need.
The Rainbow of Love Carnival hopes to raise $200,000 for the Rainbow Centre Building Fund and will have activities such as face painting, magic shows, bouncy castles, sports car joyrides, balloon sculpting, performances and food and game stalls. The organisers are also running a fundraising online auction that includes artwork by children from the Rainbow Centre, staycations and escapades.
