The Ministry of Education has announced that the mid-year holidays will be brought forward to start on 5 May 2020. This means that the kids will be having their school holidays during the extended Circuit Breaker period.
This may leave you wondering about the exact dates for the rest of the school academic year.
Updated School Term & Holiday Dates 2020
According to a media release from the Ministry of Education, these are the revised dates for the 2020 academic calendar:
5 May 2020 to 1 June 2020: School holidays
Year-end Holiday Camps: Discover Fun and Exciting Camps for Kids; Book Early
Giveaway: Stand a Chance to Win Tickets to "There's a Monster in Your Show"
2 June 2020: Start of Term 3
20 July 2020 to 26 July 2020: Mid-term break
6 September 2020: End of Term 3
These adjustments will apply to all MOE Kindergartens, primary, secondary and Pre-University students, including students from Special Education (SPED) schools.
So far, there have been changes announced for Term 4, which is scheduled to take place from 14 September to 20 November 2020.
