We were greeted by a grand presentation of sashimi and seafood that spanned across the entire table, looking exceptionally fresh and succulent.
Enjoy Freshly Prepared Authentic Japanese Dishes with Ingredients Straight From Japan
Prepare to be spoilt for choice, with 15 premium sashimi varieties available to choose from that have been air-flown to ensure its quality and freshness. This includes classic selections like Otoro, Sea Urchin, Salmon Belly, Ikura Roe and Hokkigai Hotate. There are also classic sushi & maki options which were incredibly delicious, including the Aburi Sushi, Soft-shell crab maki, Au-Nori ko, Lobster Inari and Idako sushi.
Some favourites include the Kaisen Nabe, a mini hot pot brewing with rich flavours and nutritious ingredients in a delicious fish broth, including seafood and vegetables that make the soup light and savoury, with a refreshing sweetness from the ingredients.
The mains are also not one to be missed. The Sake no Shoyu Butter was one of my favourites, with Salmon grilled to perfection and glazed with a delicious sauce that is infused with butter and soy, making it sweet and savoury. The Takikomi Gohan is a traditional dish that has fragrant mixed rice cooked with Japanese chestnuts and Shimeiji mushrooms, making it a wonderful companion to the salmon with flavours packed in every bite.
Before concluding the meal, enjoy the wide variety of dessert options curated by the chefs. This includes the Yasai No Oshiruko, an Azuki bean soup with candied vegetables, Azuki Kinako Mochi, Matcha No Pudding, a green tea pudding with Mirin prune, Tamago Tofu Ninjin-Ankake, an egg tofu with carrot sauce, as well as a Fruit No Shiratamazutsumi Kinakogake, a red bean rice dumpling. These traditional desserts are exceptionally handmade, especially the green tea pudding and rice dumplings, which I enjoyed the most.
Not to forget, there is also ice cream available, in a special flavour for this season. The thought of Wasabi Cheesecake ice cream is sure to raise some eyebrows. To my delight, it is an extremely addictive flavour that keeps you coming for more. The spice of the wasabi is balanced out by the rich flavours of cheesecake and biscuit crumbs in every bite.
